Adults need to bring the following documents or you will not be admitted to camp. Please don’t disappoint your scout due to new paperwork requirements.
Medical Forms and Clearances
Please do not forget that all attendees (youth and adult) must provide current BSA Health and Medical Forms Part A & B during check-in. This does not require a doctor's physical. Forms are available here: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf
In addition, all adults spending the night at camp must attach a copy of their completed, current BSA Youth Protection 2.0 Training (availalble at my.scouting.org) and required PA background clearances to their medical forms to be turned in during check-in. Failure to provide those documents with your Health and Medical form will result in dismissal from the property. No refunds will be given for those individuals who are asked to leave for non-compliance. Please help us ensure that no one gets sent home because they do not have these required documents attached to their medical form. There is no way for Winter Weekend staff to check on previously submitted clearance documents from the event. Forms must be attached to the medical form.
Housing
Housing assignments will be sent out during the week prior to your arrival. We have begun looking at assignments and will continue to work on them as we get closer to your scheduled weekend. Due to the changes voted on by our council board related to Camp Twin Echo, we have had to take one of the Potomac Homes at Heritage Reservation offline for 2020 to provide housing for Ranger Tony who has moved to Heritage to serve as construction manager for all the projects happening this coming year. We are evaluating the impact of this change on housing availability and will reach out if needed.
Special Dietary Needs
If you or anyone in your group has a special dietary need for the weekend, please remember that they must send an email to mike.manner@scouting.org no less than 14 days prior to arrival so their meals can be ordered.
2020 Guidebook
Finally, the 2020 Winter Weekend Leader & Parent Guidebook is now available. This guide has lots of useful weekend information.
Games and Movies
We are always looking to update our board game collection and available movies. If you have any gently used, complete board games appropriate for elementary-aged Scouts on up that you wouldn't mind parting with, please bring them to check-in.
The same goes for movies. If you have any Scout appropriate movies rated G or PG that you would like to donate, please bring them to check-in.
