Dr. Bandik, a chemistry professor at the University of Pittsburgh (along with his posse of grad students) has done presentations once or twice a year for the scouts (part of the Science Pin).  This year, they used liquid nitrogen to condense oxygen into liquid and carbon dioxide into a semi-solid fluid.  They also made slime (a polymer) and crystals to bring home.
